The global equity index for renewable energies RENIXX World on Thursday with losses of 1.14 percent (-6.43 Points) at 556.58 points marked a new Year Low. Lower the index had last closed in March 2009. Early in the morning was the regenerative stock market barometer back below 560 points and extend those losses later in the day.

Weakest RENIXX value in the share of the Norwegian solar group REC with a loss rate of 8.3 percent to 2.53 euros. The company had submitted its financial results for the third quarter of 2010. EDP Renovaveis fall by 6.8 percent to 4.06 euros and Hansen Transmissions, which had also published yesterday before trading their financial figures fall by 5.3 percent to 0.47 euros. According to figures from Hansen Transmissions, sales fell in the first half of fiscal year 2010/2011 (from 01.04.2010 to 30.09.2010) compared to the same period last year drastically by about 55 percent to 239 million euros. All in all a loss of 10 million euros in sales (HJ 1 2009/2010: € 9 million).

While SolarWorld is unchanged classified as "overweight", it stays for Q-Cells in the vote "under weight". As part of an industry study on the solar sector is going at HSBC believe that the solar demand in the current year is likely more than double and this should be evident in the quarterly reports of both companies. However, it could come next year to a decline in demand of 15 percent, experts say. Further gains presented themselves yesterday for China wind power (+2.8 percent, 0.07 €), Motech (+2.6 per cent, 2.80 €) and Yingli (+2.4 percent, 8.66 euros).
